Mt Popa is the dwelling of Myanmar Nats which is also a popular place to visit. It is an extinct volcano. Tuyin Taung and Tantkyi Taung lies on each side of the Ayeyarwaddy River. Salay has the most prominent Salay U Ponnya Monastery with wood carvings. Magwe is another interesting city near Bagan.
